Benoit
F. Laurin, ENG.
President and chief executive
officer
A McGill University
(1981) Civil Engineering graduate and member of the Quebec
Order of Engineers since 1984, Benoit Laurin founded Devlor
in 1986. At the beginning of his career, Benoit worked four
years in North Africa and Mexico before starting his own
company.
He has extensive knowledge of numerous building techniques
and has also developed a leading expertise in the application
of computers to the construction industry. He is an active
member of the Association patronale des enterprises en construction
du Québec, of which he was president in 2002-2003.
Moreover, he is a member of the Corporation des entrepreneurs
généraux du Québec et du Comité
pour l’innovation, founded in 2004, under the initiative
of the Centre d’Études et de recherches pour
l’avancement de la construction au Québec (CERACQ).
Finally, he is also a member of the board of directors of
Engineers without Borders Quebec.

Yanick
Dumesnil, ENG. *
Project Director
An
Engineering and Construction Management graduate of the
École de Technologie Supérieure (1997) and
a member of the Order of Engineers of Québec, Yanick
has amassed ten years worth of experience in project management.
He joined Devlor in 2001 and has since been ensuring that
his Devlor colleagues and their clientele benefit from
his estimation and computer skills. Yanick is quite gifted
in New Technologies.

Luc
Giasson
Project Director
Luc
holds a BA in architecture, a Certificate in Construction
Management and has also studied Structural Engineering at
École de Téchnologie Supérieure (1985).
He came to Devlor in 2005 with an impressive background
of 25 years of experience in the construction industry.
Luc is entrusted with the entire management project process,
from design to site activities.

Stéphane
Dufresne,

Design and Architectural Science
Project Manager
A
graduate in Architectural Design Science and a holder
of a Université de Montréal Masters in Architecture
specializing in systems (2002), Stéphane joined
Devlor in 2004. Upon his arrival, he worked on creating
models and 3D animations of certain promoter projects
and he personalized certain client condominiums. He has
since been working closely in this respect with project
managers.

Gilles
Michaud has over 30 years of experience as a construction
superintendent, twenty of which in this specific region.
He has been with Devlor since 1999.

As
a superintendent Robert looks after Devlor’s Tremblant
region projects. He has over 20 years of experience in
this particular region.

Yvan
Plouffe
Superintendent
Yvan
has been a Devlor superintendent since the first few years
of Devlor’s founding, having joined the rest of the
team in 1988. He is one of the core contributors of Devlor’s
reputation.

Site Assistant
Gilles
has several skills which he puts to use for the Devlor
site teams. Since 2000 he has been wearing a number of
hats for Devlor: carpenter, cementer, laborer, site assistant
and many more…

(Bobby) Bergeron
Customer Service
Robert
is always available to make small adjustments, to replace
a tile and do it with a smile…. Having been with the
company since the beginning, he is appreciated by colleagues
and clients alike for his great sense of humor and his dedication
to service.

all administrative operations of the company.
