LEED approachBuilding according to an LEED approach is a constant passion for Devlor![]() Having 3 LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professionals (AP) on the team, the management structure of the process is naturally simplified, and forms a vital part of our know-how at Constructions Devlor. Being in continuous liaison with certified local suppliers, the Devlor team knows the innovative products that are successful without necessarily being expensive. It is not only a simple Bureaucratic compilation of forms that give a project LEED points. Devlor integrates environmental concerns and energy innovation into the economic reality of construction. On every Devlor construction site, daily measures are implemented to reduce environmental impact. All construction debris is recycled to at least 75% of its weight, eliminating all landfill materials from the sites. Through all stages of construction work, dust and fume emissions are controlled and minimized. During construction, erosion by wind and surface runoff are avoided through appropriate measures. Arrangements are being made to limit the contamination of ventilation ducts to ensure the air quality once the project is complete. These simple practices are standard at Devlor, and can meet the criteria required for LEED certification at no extra cost. For a project to receive formal LEED certification, all depends on the will of the owner to include the practices, methods and materials that impact on quality of life of the users. Several projects benefited from Devlor consultations and practices to obtain LEED certification. ALL Devlor projects are carried out with passionate consideration for future generations. |
